Belt FREE PATTERN


This belt is knit in round in basket weave. The belt is super easy, for beginners and you’ll be finished in a flash!

Materials:
1 skein of Louisa Harding fleuris yarn. 70% bamboo/viscose 30% wool.

Size 6 circular needles.
Needle for weaving in the yarn ends
Measuring tape.

note: not all of the rounds will go through the pattern completely. That’s okay, when you get to the end of the round, go to the next step even if the pattern isn’t finished.

C/O 116 sts
K1p1 creating ribbing for 1″
1st Row: Knit
2nd Row: k1, purl to last st, k1 -repeat to the end of the round
3rd Row: k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2 repeat to end of round
4th Round: k2, p2, repeat to end of round
5th and 6th Rows: Rep. 1st and 2nd rounds
7th Row: k1, p1, k2, p2, k2 repeat to end of round
8th Row:  p2, k2, p2, k2 repeat to end of round.

If you would like to add a nice broach or decorative button/pin to the front of the belt, that can be done easily and it adds more character to the belt. Have fun with it an enjoy!

Baby’s First Baby Doll

Materials:
Yarn:
Use any colors you wish for the body, hair, and diaper. I will list what I used:
  • Body: I used Spud and Chloe yarn in Toast for the body Color 7506, Dye lot #0836. Gauge Weight 100 grams. Gauge 4-5 sts per inch
  • Hair: Imperial Yarn- Columbia, 2Ply Mulespun. Color Wheat. Weight 4 oz, Gauge 18 sts/24 rows
  • Diaper: Peaches and Creme yarn in white color #01005.

4 Size 5 DPNs.

Body:

Knit bottom up.

CO 9 sts. Move sts evenly over 3 needles. Join in the round:

K

KFB in all sts

KFB in first two sts, k to last 2 sts on the needle, KFB in last 2 sts. Repeat for last 2 needles.

Repeat last step until there are 18 sts on each needle

K even for 2 1/2″ from Cast-on Edge

K2tog, K to last 2 sts, K2tog. Repeat for last 2 needles. (16sts on each needle)

K until entire piece measures 4″

K4tog, k to last 4 sts, K4tog. Repeat for last two needles. (10 sts on each needle)

K2tog, K to last 2 sts, K2tog. Repeat for last 2 needles (8 sts on each needle)

repeat last step (6 sts on each needle)

K 4 rounds

KFB in first 2sts, k to last 2 sts, KFB in those two sts. Repeat for other 2 needles (10 sts on each needle)

Repeat last step (14 sts on each needle)

K until head measures 2″

K3tog, K to last 3 sts, K3tog. repeat for last 2 needles.

K2tog, k to last 2 sts, K2tog. Repeat on last 2 needles.

k 3 rounds

K2together, k to end. Repeat on last 2 needles.

repeat last step until there are 5 sts on each needle

K3tog, K to end

Close

ARMS

In a triangular pattern, Pick up 4 sts on each needle. See photo for more details.

K even until arm measures 1 1/2″

K2tog, k to end. Repeat for the last two needles.

KFB in first st, k to end. Repeat on other two needles.

K 5 rounds

K2tog until two sts on each needle

Close with Kitchener stitch.

Legs

In a triangular pattern pick up 5 sts on each needle.

K until leg measures 2 1/2″

K2tog, k to end. Repeat for the last two needles.

KFB in first st, k to end. Repeat on other two needles.

K 6 rounds

K2tog until two sts on each needle

Close with Kitchener stitch.

FACE

Add the eyes, nose, hair and mouth however you wish.

Note: I added buttons because this baby was made for my almost 4 year old. If you are making this doll for a baby, it may be best to embroider the eyes. 🙂

For the nose, I took a strand of yarn and picked up two sts on the face. I wrapped the yarn around the stitches over and over until I liked the size and shape of the nose. NOTE: Do the same thing for the navel.

Work even in pattern until piece measures 3″

Repeat until there are 22 sts on the needle
Cast on 6 sts k to end turn
Cast on 6 sts p to end turn
K turn
P turn
Repeat until diaper measures 4 1/2″
Work in ribbing stitch k1p1 until ribbing measures 1″
Cast off
Attach diaper to the baby
